Best Updates in Asia
SYDNEY, Aus. May 9, 2005 -- Best Mfg. signed an agreement with Star Track Express to provide third-party logistics and warehousing to improve order efficiency throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
In addition, Best named Peter Lockerbie, longtime independent Best sales representative, as its manager for Australasia. In his first move as manager, Lockerbie hired Stuart Opawsky and Trevor Heffernan as territory sales managers for Victoria/Tasmania and Queensland respectively.
"We're committed to expanding our global opportunities and ensuring that Best hand protection is available in every market around the globe," commented Bill Alico, President and CEO of Best Mfg.'s parent company, Tillotson Corporation. "We hope these investments underscore the depth of that commitment."
The moves strengthen Best's already considerable presence in Southeast Asia. Star Track Express offers the only comprehensive and fully integrated freight system in Australia and will provide its extensive warehousing and logistics services to Best, allowing the glove maker to dramatically reduce its delivery fulfillment turnaround time.
