SHOWA AND BEST GLOVE INTEGRATE OPERATIONS

Menlo, GA - Monday, March 9, 2009 - After one of the most significant acquisitions in hand protection manufacturing history, Showa-Best Glove has emerged as the result of the operational integration of Showa USA and Best Glove, Inc. "Our two-company integration in the Americas is complete with the formation of Showa-Best Glove," said Showa-Best Glove President and Chief Operating Officer Bill Alico. "We are now able to deliver on the potential we outlined when Showa Glove acquired Best Manufacturing in fourth quarter 2007." That potential includes all of the following and more: * Best-in-class technology. With a focus on research and development, the combined company is uniquely positioned to continue and accelerate the Showa/Best tradition of introducing new, innovative hand and arm protection products. * Comprehensive hand and arm product portfolio. The high quality of Showa's and Best's products has earned both companies recognition as industry leaders. Combined, the two offer a full range of the highest quality protective gloves to industries ranging from construction, meatpacking, health care, technology, general manufacturing, food service and commercial fishing.

* Extensive channel coverage. The merged company has one of the strongest sales and service organizations focused exclusively on providing premium hand protection to the respective industry sectors. * Global production facilities. With global production facilities (U.S, Japan, Guatemala, Vietnam, Malaysia and Canada), the company is able to manufacture close to its customers, increase production capacity and operate under a customer-centric business model.

Noting that the completion of integration could not have come at a better time for customers who are seeking more efficient ways to provide superior hand protection in the current economic downturn, Alico points out that the integration will allow customers to benefit from a single point of contact in the field, a world-class customer service organization and consolidated shipping for both brands.

The integration is also energizing the company's research and development efforts under the direction of newly appointed leader Neil Redpath. He and his R&D team in Menlo, Georgia, are now working with the global Showa R&D team to develop new products to meet changing hand protection needs.

"True to the spirit of our company tagline, 'Two Powerful Companies. One Powerhouse in Protection.' this integration has created the high quality hand protection resource that the market needs," said Showa-Best Glove Director of Sales and Marketing Tom Eggleston. "Our companies' complementary, best-in-class products and technologies represent a powerhouse in the hand protection market - one that has the potential to dramatically change the future of hand protection here."
